As you all know by now, effective July 1, 2008, Bishop Tod Brown has appointed me the new director of the Pope John Paul II Polish Center in Yorba Linda. It is an honor and a privilege for me to serve you in all your spiritual and pastoral needs to the best of my ability. It is also a sign of confidence shown by the Bishop who entrusted to my care the Polish Center Community. From my perspective, it is a huge responsibility and a challenge which I would not be able to face without your prayerful support and assistance. One thing I would like you to know and assure you is that I am here only as an administrator and steward, and you, the community, are the true owners of the Center. Only with your understanding and support will I be able to fulfill the duties entrusted to me. That is why I ask for your patience as we go through the difficult time of transition. Change is painful, but it is a reality of life. We all go through different times of change, such as growing up, changing schools and jobs, getting married, and moving to different locations. But even though changes are painful and challenging, we still must go through them in order to grow. I believe that every change gives us an opportunity to challenge ourselves and as we face an unknown future, we must put our trust in God. Therefore, at this particular time in the history of our Center, I would like to invite each and every one of you to put your trust in the One who really is in charge of our lives. May He and His providence look kindly on us as we continue to work and pray together for the goodness of His Kingdom where He lives and reigns forever and ever. Amen.
God bless you now and always.
